Location

Alpha Farm Cooperative is located in Deadwood, OR, -- one hour east of Florence and just over an hour west of Eugene.  We are situated next to the stunning Siuslaw National Forest, a natural treasure filled with towering Douglas firs, rushing rivers, and scenic hiking trails. Positioned just a short drive from the Oregon coast, our farm offers members and visitors access to a rich landscape of outdoor adventures, including hiking, wildlife viewing, and exploring the region’s iconic sand dunes. Surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of the Pacific Northwest, Alpha Farm provides an ideal setting for reconnecting with nature and sustainable living. 

Even with all of the attractions and beauty just a short drive away, it is equally rewarding to just stay put and enjoy all that Alpha’s 287 acres has to offer.  Several creeks with swim spots meander through the property, and elk can often be seen on the hillside meadow next to the farmhouse.  We have a few short, gorgeous trails that put you in the middle of a beautiful forest within one minute from your doorstep.

The town of Deadwood is itself a treasure, with a wonderful, well-connected community that gathers monthly for potlucks and live music/dancing.  Alpha hosts an annual party on the 4th of July, continuing a tradition started by the previous owners of this land.  Alpha enjoys a great relationship with its neighbors, which often isn't typical of intentional communities in rural settings.
